Dr. Leone Led Hip Section at the Second Annual Winter Orthopedic Symposium
Holy Cross Hospital’s Orthopedic Institute in conjunction with Massachusetts General Hospital recently hosted the Second Annual Winter Orthopedic Symposium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The two-day nationally attended educational symposium included presentations on the latest advances in adult knee and hip arthroplasty, shoulder arthroplasty, joint preservation, advanced recovery and pain protocols.
Dr. William A. Leone, head of the Leone Center of Orthopedic Care at Holy Cross Hospital, served as program faculty and led the section which focused on hips. He put practice into action and taught a class on new robotic surgery techniques, showing fellow surgeons how to best integrate technology within the new paradigm shift in health care delivery.
The symposium was specifically designed to provide an educational and networking forum to improve knowledge and interaction among orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, residents, fellows, medical students, research professionals and allied health providers associated with orthopedics.
