Dear Dr. Leone,
In May you replaced my hip at Holy Cross Hospital. Unfortunately, I was unable to see you when I had my stitches removed or at my six-week follow up visit.
Had I had the chance, I would have thanked you in person for providing me with a new hip which has made a world of difference in my daily life. My wife and I are spending the summer up in the Hamptons where we just moved into a new house. The thought of moving in the condition I was in prior to the operation would have been intolerable.
The extent of my recovery was never clearer then my recent climb to the top of the Montauk Lighthouse, some 133 steps, without any discomfort at all. I was so impressed by the care I received from your staff as well as the nurses at Holy Cross. They were all very professional and extremely proficient at whatever they had to do to make the whole experience as easy and as comfortable as possible.
It is certainly a testament to you to have assembled such a great support team to take care of your patients. I will be forever grateful to you and your staff for making my operation and recovery such a success. Once again, thank you for giving me the opportunity to live pain free and to participate in activities which I was forced to forgo due to the deterioration of my old hip.
