BOCA RATON, Fla. – C.U.R.E.TM (Cutting-edge Understanding of Research & Education), South Florida’s first medical & bioscience symposium, will be held on Sat. Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Marriott Hotel at Boca Center, 5150 Town Center Circle.
Thirty six physicians and scientists who are innovators in their respective fields will discuss leading edge technology and medical advances and treatments in cancer, endocrinology, neurology, heart and vascular, men’s health, pulmonary, orthopedics, ophthalmology, sports medicine, women’s health and more.
“We created this symposium for South Floridians to see and hear from the physicians and scientists who are providing an impressive array of advanced medical care and surgical techniques right here at home,” said Anita Finley, South Florida gerontologist, radio and TV personality and magazine publisher.
Some of the prominent speakers who will present at C.U.R.E. include keynote luncheon speaker John L. Cleveland, Ph.D.; Dr. John Cogan, cardiologist; Dr. Mark Gannon, low-vision specialist; Dr. Margaret Gilot, breast surgeon; Dr. Michael Joyner, hand surgeon; Dr. William Leone, orthopedic surgeon, specializing in hip and knee replacements and inventor of the Pelvic Alignment Level; Dr. Juan Paredes, geriatric psychiatrist/men’s health; Dr. Michael Parra, trauma, laparoscopic surgeon; Dr. Earle Pescatore, uro-gynecologist, robotic specialist; Dr. Joseph Purita, orthopedic surgeon, specializing in laser & stem cells; and Ivan Yagers, inventor of the prosthetic arm.
