William Leone, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with 20 years of experience who is best known for restoring mobility and improving quality of life through hip and knee replacement and reconstruction. Recently, Dr. Leone opened The Leone Center for Orthopedic Care at Holy Cross Hospital. Dr. Leone is the inventor of the Pelvic Alignment Level (PAL), an instrument and technique that allows surgeons to achieve a greater level of implant precision when performing total hip replacements, and has been involved in the clinical trials and review of new orthopedic techniques and equipment. He has taken an active role as chairperson and faculty at symposiums that provide continuing medical education for hip and knee surgeons in both the United States and Europe.
